Diets Do Not Help!
I know, that you will be surprised and at the beginning you might not believe me, but diets do not work. How you like the fact, that 45 million Americans diet each year, but 96% of them can not stay on them to lose needed weight. According to researches of National Institute of Health, 98% of people who go on diets gain the weight they lose back plus 5-10 extra pounds.
In America, people spend $1 billion to 2 billions per year on different weight lose pills and nutrition. Actually, 45% of Americans are on diets most of their life, still 70% of Americans are overweight and 25% suffer from obesity. As you see, the truth tells us that diets are not so helpful, as people used to think. Now, I would like to write about 5 facts, which approve that diets do not help people to lose excess weight.
So, why you should not believe in diets?
Number 1: Diets can cause diseases and have bad influence on your body. Different studies show us that people on diets get sick more frequently than others. It was proven, that ongoing dieting causes high blood pressure, constipation, osteoporosis, dry skin, depression and anxiety.
Number 2: Diets lead to undernourishment. On dieting people are restricted from eating the necessary amount of macro- and micronutrients. When body does not get all these nutrients it can result in sickness. That is why people on diets are getting sick so often.
Number 3: Diets cause the depression. People hate to diet, when on diets people are unhappy and depressed. For example, have you ever met a person who likes dieting?
Number 4: Diets slow the metabolism. When you are dieting, your organism does not know that it is a diet. Your body understands the diet as a famine and it slows your metabolism as much as 40 %. That is why the longer you diet the slower is the metabolism, as result you need to eat less and less to continue losing weight. By the way, as soon as you will start eating normally again, the weight will return and 5-10 extra pound as a gift too.
Number 5: Dieting leads to eating disorders. People who on diets most of their life and they do not like their body and want to lose more and more. They may end up with such eating disorders like bulimia or anorexia. Dieting is the first step to these illnesses.
Number 6: Diets may cause death. Have you ever noticed that first three letters in the word “diet” are DIE…dieting causes different health problems and shortens your life…
